Renown Kenyan man of God Prophet Owuor distanced himself from claims that he caused the death of his driver. The said driver allegedly passed on hours after walking in on Owuor praying to a snake in Kakamega forest . Owuor claimed the rumours were not only aimed at tainting his image but also blackmailing him.
The prophet claimed all the drivers who had worked for him since the inception of his ministry were still alive Self-proclaimed Kenyan prophet Davido Owuor has strongly shut down rumours that he caused the death of his driver.
In a statement, the prophet denied claims that his driver died just hours after seeing him praying to a snake in Kakamega forest.
The statement from the prophet came barely days after the blogosphere was suffocated with reports that his driver died mysteriously after a visit to Kakamega forest with the man of God.
As reported by a cross section of the Kenyan media earlier, Owuor allegedly asked his driver to take him to the forest for prayers. It is while there when the prophet decided to get into the forest alone with his driver, leaving behind a guide who had been provided to show them around.
According to earlier reports, Owour claimed he was going for prayers and that the Lord would guide him around the forest.
The Repentance and Holiness Church leader went even deeper into the forest accompanied by his driver. The two did not go far before the prophet ditched the driver meters behind and asked him to stay back as he went to talk to God. Obeying his master’s order, the driver remained behind to allow the man of God ample time to speak to the Lord.
However, Owuor spent over two hours in the forest, a situation that sparked worry in the driver who decided to follow him to confirm if all was well. The driver is allegedly said to have been hit by the shock of his life after finding the prophet in a very compromising situation following an extensive search.
Owuor is said to have been found kneeling down in front of a huge snake uttering incomprehensive words. According to the reports, Owuor quickly grabbed his clothes and moved from where he had knelt down as the snake disappeared in the nearby thicket. Ashamed, the prophet allegedly warned the driver against sharing about what he had seen with anyone.
The man is however said to have narrated the whole incident to his wife upon getting home that evening. It is after sharing the story with the wife that the driver is said to have passed on mysteriously while seated in his living room while waiting for the wife to warm some water so that he could take a shower.
Owuor, however, denied everything claiming the peddlers of the news were only out to taint his name. The prophet reiterated that they were all lies since and that he had always been moving around with personal assistants and some elders from his church, therefore he had never been alone with any of his drivers. Owuor also confirmed that all the drivers (two) who had worked for him since the inception of his ministry were still alive.
