Nigeria Decides: Collation on hold in Bayelsa as Dickson accuses military of aiding electoral fraud

The Independent National Electoral Commission says it is yet to begin collation of results of presidential and National Assembly’s elections from some local government areas in Bayelsa State, noting that the delay in collation was due to the terrain of the state.
Head of Department, INEC Voter Education and Publicity,

Mr Wilfred Ifogah, told journalists on Sunday in Yenagoa that the Commission was also conducting a supplementary poll in 39 units in Ogbia and Sagbama local government areas.

This is as the Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, accused the military authorities particularly the General Officer Commanding, 6th Division of the Nigerian Army, of “subverting the will of the people” in the electoral process in the state.
