Imke Wübbenhorst is a reference in the German benches. Last year she became the first woman to lead a men’s team in the first five German leagues, the BV Cloppenburg, bottom of the fifth division to try to save the relegation.
Despite the magnitude of the challenge, Imke must face fairly banal issues in the press room for the fact of being a woman in a world of men. Faced with this situation and fed up with the prevailing machismo in football, Wübbenhorst gave a good lesson to a journalist from the newspaper Welt during an interview. The German coach gave an ironic response to a bad question about her way of coexisting with the team players.
The journalist asked her if the players put on their pants every time she entered the locker room, an issue that received a lapidary response: “The players do not have to put on their pants when I enter the locker room. I am a professional. I choose the players because of the size of their penises
